Announcement

The automobile of the future will have to respond to two major trends, the electrification of the drivetrain, and the automation of the transportation system. These trends will not only lead to a greener and safer driving but redefine the concept of the car completely, particularly if they interact with each other in a synergetic way as for autonomous parking and charging, self-driving shuttles or mobile robots.

Enabling functionalities like environment perception are mostly enabled by electronic components and systems, sensors and actors, communication network nodes and smart systems integration. They will make the automobile of the future an integral part of the Internet of Things.

It has been the mission of the International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA) for more than fifteen years to detect novel trends and to discuss the technological implications from early on. Therefore, the topic of the conference in 2015 will be “Smart Systems for Green and Automated Driving”.

Leading engineers and scholars from all around the world are cordially invited to participate in the dialogue and submit proposals for papers addres­sing ongoing research and novel developments in this field. Discussions at the conference will focus particularly on the application areas men­tioned below. A special attention will be given to topics covered in public funding programs like the European Green Vehicles Initiative PPP of Horizon 2020.
