"Smart Systems for Electric, Safe and Networked Mobility"
29-30 June 2011
Borsigturm, Berlin (Germany)
Announcement
Fundamental transformations are imminent for the automobile today: propulsion technologies are going to shift from combustion engines to electric motors; cars and roads will soon be as safe and convenient as never before; and traffic will flow increasingly efficient. Many of these advancements are due to innovative ICT, controls and smart systems, both in the vehicle and at its interfaces with the systems for power supply, mobility and data communication. Mergers of the electrified vehicle with intelligent controls and broadband communication technologies will lead to a wholly new mobility world. The recent demonstrations of self-driving cars that navigate through the traffic on public roads are just one example of the impressive new capabilities that will arise.
It has been the objective of the International Forum on Advanced Microsystems for Automotive Applications (AMAA) for more than fifteen years to detect novel trends and to discuss the technological implications from day one on. Therefore, the topic of the AMAA 2011 will be “Smart Systems for Electric, Safe and Networked Mobility”. Experts from industry leaders and renowned academic institutions will address ongoing research and novel developments in the field of ICT components and systems leading to the automobile and road transport of the future.

Sponsorship Opportunities
There is a multitude of opportunities to bring your company’s activities to the attention of the AMAA community. These are ranging from the inclusion of your company’s logo into select communications to a platinum option which includes an entry in the list of sponsors on the first pages of the conference book which is published worldwide by Springer.
Satellite Events
Working groups e.g. of EPoSS and other initiatives will meet at dedicated satellite events of the AMAA 2011. Information about funding opportunities e.g. in the third round of calls of the European Green Cars Initiative will be given in dedicated sessions.
On 30 June 2011, a Joint EC / EPoSS / ERTRAC Expert Workshop "Electric Vehicle System Integration and Architecture" will be held at the AMAA venue. Participation is free of charge and on invitation only, travel costs will not be reimbursed. Additional experts may apply for acceptance by completing the registration form; however their participation needs to be confirmed by the organizers. Find more information under this link.
